Tavsif · Description
Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. I, p. 787Plants shrubby, spiny, with in vegetative parts merely white hairs 0.3–0.7 mm, at the calyx 1–1.5 mm and at the legumes 0.75–1 mm, in the inflorescence also with shorter black hairs. Stems up to 25 cm, in older parts 4–8 mm thick pale brown to dark grey brown; parts of the current year 1–5 cm, with internodes 2–5 mm, brown to blackish browm, glabrous. Stipules whitish-hyaline, 5–8 mm, adnate to the petiole for 1–3 mm, embracing the stem but not fully amplexicaul, with narrowly triangular free tips, white hairy or glabrous. Leaves 2–7 cm, obliquely erect in the youth, horizontally spreading with age; petiole 0.5–1.5 cm, like the rachis stout, persistent, pungent, with ascending to spreading hairs, glabrous with age, yellowish green, becoming brown; terminal spine c. 2 times longer than the uppermost leaflets. Leaflets in 5–8 pairs, narrowly obovate, mostly folded, the basal ones 4–8 × 1.5–2.5 mm, the upper ones distinctly smaller, rounded to retuse or widely acuminate, sometimes minutely mucronulate, on upperside loosely covered toward the margins, on underside throughout with spreading hairs. Racemes subsessile, 1–3-flowered. Bracts 3–4 mm, subulate to filiform, glabrous or white and black ciliate. Pedicels 1–2 mm, with spreading black hairs. Calyx 9–14 mm, tubular, yellowish green, sometimes slightly reddish-suffused, densely covered with spreading black hairs, with few long, white hairs mixed in, at fruiting time glabrescent and often nearly glabrous, shiny; teeth keeled, from triangular base subulate, c. 3–6 mm. Petals yellow, dark brown to dark red with age, glabrous. Standard 14–19 mm; blade c. 6 mm wide, obovate, emarginate to obtuse, angularly passing into the rather short claw. Wings 13–18 mm; blades narrowly oblong, obtuse, 6–9 mm. Keel 12–15 mm; blades obliquely elliptic, with in the middle curved lower edge and straight to slightly curved upper edge, shortly acuminate, c. 5–7 mm. Stamen-tube obliquely cut at the mouth. Ovary shortly stipitate, densely white hairy; style hairy at the base. Legumens ellipsoid, 10–13 mm long and 4–7 mm high, keeled ventrally, rounded with a thickend nerve dorsally, with a beak 1–2 mm, nearly completely bilocular; valves coriaceous, pale yellow, partly dark red-suffused, with spreading white hairs.
