Stem 5–7 mm in diameter, longitudinally sulcate, very densely covered with subappressed to spreading, tangled white hairs 0.2–1 mm, with some black hairs mixed in, especially near the nodes. Stipules thickly membranous, brown green or pale brown, c. 10 mm, free from the petiole, with spreading, tangled white and black hairs. Leaves 10–13 cm; petiole 1.5–3 cm, with the rachis densely hairy like the stem. Leaflets in 6–9 pairs, narrowly elliptic, 20–36 × 8–11 mm, flat, subacute, on upper side glabrous or loosely hairy, on underside loosely to densely covered with subappressed, tangled white hairs 0.5–1 mm. Racemes 3-flowered; axis c. 0.5 cm, densely covered with spreading black hairs. Bracts chartaceous, yellow green or pale brownish, c. 12 mm, narrowly triangular, black hairy. Pedicels 2–3 mm, densely black hairy. Bracteoles often present, c. 5 mm, narrowly triangular, at the pedicel.
