Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. III, p. 2106Plants 8−12 cm tall, acaulescent. Rootstock divided, with short, thick, subterranean branches. Stipules c. 10 mm, the lower ovate, the upper narrowly triangular, adnate to the petiole up to 1/3−1/2 of the length, often reflexed, densely covered with subbasifixed, subappressed white hairs up to 1 mm, glabrescent with age. Leaves (5−)7−14 cm; petiole short, like the rachis densely villous with ± spreading, tangled short, bifurcate hairs c. 0.3 mm and with ± spreading, straight hairs c. 1 mm. Leaflets in 11−15 pairs, crowded, narrowly elliptic, (5−)10−20 × (2−)4−7 mm, acute-mucronulate at the tip, on both sides densely hairy like the rachis but more appressed hairy. Peduncles 5−9 cm, angular, densely villous. Racemes few-flowered. Bracts 5 mm, ovate, black hairy. Standard 25−30 mm. Legumes sessile, ovoid-inflated, (20−)30−40 mm long, 7−10 mm high, 12−15 mm wide, widely rounded ventrally and dorsally, abruptly contracted into a rigid beak 5−15 mm, bilocular; valves pale brownish, coriaceous, densely covered with ± medifixed, flexuose, subappres white hairs c. 0.3 mm and with few basifixed, spreading, straight white hairs c. 2 mm.
