Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. I, p. 599Plants 8−20 cm tall, acaulescent to shortly caulescent, covered with very fine, white hairs 1−2.5(−4) mm. Rootstock up to 10 mm thick, mostly with a pluricipital root-crown, sometimes with short subterranean branches. Stems, if present, up to 5(−15) cm. Stipules white-membranous, 6−8 mm, adnate to the petiole for 2−4 mm, the lower ones triangular-ovate, obtuse, mostly glabrous, the upper ones triangular to narrowly triangular, at the tip and margins long ciliate. Leaves 4−15(−25) cm; petiole 2−5(−7) cm, like the rachis loosely to densely covered with unequal, spreading hairs 1−2.5(−4) mm. Leaflets in (3−)4−8(−10) pairs, ovate to rounded-cordate, 5−15(−18) × 4−12(−14) mm, at the base widely cuneate, at the tip widely rounded to truncate or emarginate, on upper side loosely, on underside densely covered with ascending to nearly spreading hairs. Racemes numerous, subsessile, 1−3-flowered. Bracts white-membranous, 4−5 mm, narrowly triangular-acuminate, ciliate. Pedicels 3−5 mm, sparsely hairy. Calyx 13−15 mm, campanulate-tubular, yellowish, at the base mostly sparsely, toward the teeth rather densely covered with long spreading hairs; teeth linear-acute, very unequal, the shorter ones 4−5 mm, the longer ones 7−8 mm. Petals partly hairy, yellow. Standard 14−15 mm; blade5−6 mm wide, obovate-panduriform, slightly emarginate, below the middle slightly constricted, at the base gradually narrowed, in upper two third densely appressed hairy. Wings 13−14 mm; blades narrowly oblong, from wider base narrowed upward, subacute, 8−9 × 2−2.5 mm, in upper two third appressed hairy; auricle c. 1 mm, claw 4−6 mm. Keel 9−11 mm; blades obliquely elliptic, with gibbously curved lower edge and nearly straight upper edge, acute, c. 5 × 2.5−3 mm, glabrous or with few hairs at the tip; auricle short, claw 4−5 mm. Stamen-tube obliquely cut at the mouth. Ovary sessile, densely appressed hairy; style short, hairy in lower part. Legumes sessile, obliquely narrowly oblong, with distinctly curved ventral line and slightly curved dorsal line, 15−25 mm long, 7−8 mm high and 5−6 mm wide (in herbarium specimens the fruits are often completely compressed so the real width is hidden), acuminate at both ends, keeled ventrally, narrowly grooved dorsally, with a slightly curved, rigid beak 3−7 mm, incompletely bilocular (septum 1/2−3/4 of the fruit’s hight); valves thin, pale brownish, loosely to rather densely covered with fine, spreading hairs. Seeds 5−6 × c. 3 mm, reddish brown, smooth.
