Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. III, p. 1975Plants 10–30 cm tall, subshrubby. Rootstock up to 10(−15) mm in diameter, with a pluricipital root-crown and sometimes with short to long subterranean stolons. Stems branched, the older parts ligneous, short to long, covered with greyish black bark, parts of the current year up to 10 cm, densely covered with medifixed, appressed white hairs 0.5−0.8 mm, at the nodes with black hairs mixed in. Stipules greenish, 3–6 mm, adnate to the petiole for 2–3 mm, shortly vaginate-connate, sparsely white ciliate with some black hairs mixed in. Leaves 1.5–3.5 cm; petiole 0.5−1 cm, like the rachis slender, sparsely white hairy, sometimes with some black hairs mixed in. Leaflets in 4–6(−7) pairs, linear or more rarely narrowly oblong, 7–23 × 0.5–2(–4) mm, on upper side glabrous, on underside sparsely to loosely covered with appressed hairs 1−1.2 mm. Peduncles 3.5−7 cm, sparsely covered with white, toward the raceme black hairs, often subglabrous. Racemes rather densely 8−12-flowered, elongating in fruit and up to 6 cm long. Bracts whitish-membranous, 1.5–2.5 mm, narrowly triangular, white and predominantly black hairy. Pedicels c. 1 mm, white and black hairy, curved, floweres therefore nodding with age. Calyx 7−9 mm, shortly tubular, obliquely cut at the mouth, densely covered with basifixed, flexuose, tangled, nearly spreading white hairs c. 1−1.2 mm and with shorter, medifixed to basifixed black hairs; teeth subulate, 1.5–2.5 mm, black hairs on inner side. Petals lilac or cream becoming bluish green. Standard 14–16 mm; blade elliptic, slightly emarginate, curved upward above the short, cuneate claw. Wings 13–15 mm; blades narrowly oblong, narrowed upward, obtuse, 7 × 2 mm; auricle c. 0.8 mm, claw 7−8 mm. Keel 11–12 mm; blades obliquely elliptic, with widely curved lower edge and straight upper edge, subacute; auricle short, claw c. 7 mm. Stamen-tube truncate at the mouth. Ovary slender, with a stipe c. 2 mm, glabrous. Legumes nodding, with a stipe 5–12 mm, linear, slightly upcurved, 12–30 mm long, 3–4 mm high and 2–3 mm wide, attenuate at both ends, keeled ventrally, narrowly rounded dorsally, bilocular; valves thin, dirty yellowish brown, glabrous.
