Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. III, p. 1927Plants herbaceous to subshrubby, 20–50 cm tall. Rootstock partly strongly branched. Stems straight to often slightly bent at the nodes, 15–40 cm, rather densely to densely covered with appressed to subappressed, ± medifixed white hairs 0.5–1.5 mm. Stipules membranous to greenish, 4–10 mm, narrowly triangular, nearly free from the petiole, sparsely to loosely hairy, sometimes only ciliate at the margins with subbasifixed to basifixed hairs up to 1.5 mm. Leaves 3–14 cm; petiole 2–4 cm, together with the rachis hairy like the stem. Leaflets in (1–)2–8 pairs, of very different size, from linear to elliptic, sometimes in one population or even in one plant, 10–50 × 2–10(–17) mm, acute, on upper side sparsely covered with appressed hairs, on underside densely with somewhat tangled, often subappressed hairs up to 2 mm. Peduncles 3–10 cm, loosely to densely hairy like the stem. Racemes 8–15 cm long, remotely 8–15-flowered; axis with white and sometimes also with some black hairs. Bracts whitish-membranous, 2–5 mm, ovate to narrowly ovate, sparsely covered with white and black, mostly basifixed hairs. Pedicels c. 3 mm, white and black hairy. Calyx 14–17 mm, tubular, loosely to rather densely covered with subappressed white and mostly also with few to many somewhat shorter black hairs; teeth narrowly triangular, 2.5–4 mm, densely white hairy on inner side. Petals yellowish green. Standard (20–)23–25 mm; blade obovate, 6–10 mm wide, rounded to truncate or slightly emarginate, often slightly constricted in the middle, cuneately narrowed at the base. Wings 21–24 mm; blades narrowly oblong to narrowly elliptic, rounded to subobtuse, 7 × 2.5–3.2 mm; auricle ca 1 mm, claw 14–17 mm. Keel 20–23 mm; blades obliquely elliptic, with slightly widely curved lower edge and ± sigmoid upper edge, rounded, 6.5–7 × 2.5–3 mm; auricle short, acute, claw 13–17 mm. Stamen- tube truncate at the mouth. Ovary with a stipe c. 2 mm, linear, white hairy; style glabrous. Legumes ± spreading to nodding, with a stipe c. 2 mm, narrowly oblong, 17–25 mm long, c. 4 mm high and 2 mm wide, acutely keeled ventrally, narrowly grooved dorsally, attenuate into a straight beak c. 2 mm, bilocular; valves thin, straw-colored, rather densely covered with appressed to ascending, medifixed white hairs.
