Tavsif · Description
Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. III, p. 1731Plants subshrubby, (10−)20–40 cm tall, often intricately branched, in all parts mostly very densely covered with appressed, often somewhat flexuous, mostly ± medifixed hairs (0.3–)0.5–1.2 mm. Rootstock c. 10(−15) mm in diameter, divided, with short branches covered with dark greyish brown, longitudinally or reticulately fibrillose-splitting bark. Stems of preceding years ligneous, up to 10 cm; stems of the current year mostly erect, 4–12 cm, white by the very dense coat of white hairs (0.3–) 0.5–1 mm. Stipules whitish-hyalin, 1.5–2 mm, very shortly adnate to the petiole, behind the stem vaginate-connate highly up, often nearly for the whole length, shortly bidentate, white, sometimes also black hairy. Leaves 2–4 cm; subsessile; petiole with the very short rhachis 0.2–0.7 cm, densely white hairy. Leaflets in 1–2 pairs, linear, acute, 10–25 × 1–2 mm, terminal leaflet up to 40 mm long, on both sides rather densely to densely covered with white hairs 0.8−1.2 mm. Peduncles one or two in each stem, subterminal, 3–10(−25) cm, hairy like the stem. Raceme at anthesis 3–4 cm long, loosely (4−) 8–17-flowered, later on strongly elongated and up to 13(−30) cm long in fruit; axis white hairy. Bracts whitish-membranous, 1–1.5 mm, ovate-acuminate, white and black hairy. Pedicels c. 2 mm, white and black hairy, flowers and fruits ± erect. Calyx 5.5–7 mm, shortly tubular, obliquely cut at the mouth, rather densely covered with symmetrically to strongly asymmetrically bifurcate, appressed to subappressed white hairs 0.5−1 mm and with ± medifixed, subappressed, slightly flexuose black hairs 0.3−0.8 mm in different relations; teeth narrowly triangular, 0.5−1(−1.5) mm. Petals pink, purple to violet. Standard 13–17 mm; blade 6−7 mm wide, elliptic to obovate, slightly emarginate, at the base gradually narrowed without distinct claw. Wings 11–15 mm; blades narrowly oblong, sometimes slightly dilated toward the slightly emarginate to obtuse tip, 5–7 × 1.5−2.5 mm; auricle c. 1 mm, claw 6–7 mm. Keel 10–13 mm; blades obliquely obovate, with in upper part widely and nearly rectangularly curved lower edge and ± straight upper edge, subacute, (4−)5–6 × 2−2.5 mm; auricle triangular, 0.3−0.5 mm, claw 6–7 mm. Stamen-tube truncate at the mouth. Ovary with a stipe c. 1 mm, densely white hairy. Legumes with a hairy stipe 3−4 mm, ± erect or obliquely erect, narrowly ellipsoid, acuminate at both ends, 8–9 mm long, 3–4 mm high, c. 2 mm wide, obtusely keeled ventrally, narrowly rounded dorsally, with a slightly curved beak c. 1 mm, bilocular; valves thinly coriaceous, densely villous, with subbasifixed to basifixed, spreading, white, very rarely black hairs up to 3 mm, often sitting on little tubercles and with short, subappressed, ± medifixed hairs. Seed one in each locule, 3 × 1.5 mm, brown.
