Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. II, p. 1119Plants up to 40 cm tall. Rootstock branched. Stems several, 10−12 cm, branched, densely covered with tangled, spreading white hairs 0.3−1(−1.5) mm. Stipules membranous, 10−15 mm, narrowly linear-triangular, at the base dilated and adnate to the petiole for 3−4 mm, behind the stem shortly vaginate-connate, covered with white and sometimes also black hairs. Leaves 10−15 cm; petiole 2−4.5 cm, like the rachis loosely to densely furnished with ± spreading white and often some black hairs 0.2–0.8(–1) mm and often with much fewer hairs up to 1.5 mm, but not with a distinctly double indumentum. Leaflets in 12−20 pairs, narrowly oblong to narrowly elliptic, 8−12 × 3−5 mm, subobtuse to subacute, covered on upper side sparsely to loosely, on underside more densely with ascending to ± spreading hairs 0.8−1.5 mm. Peduncles 17−25 cm, erect, sulcate, covered with white, in upper part with black hairs. Racemes 5−10 × up to 2 cm, densely many-flowered. Bracts 5−10 mm, linear, with spreading, predominantly black hairs. Pedicels c. 1 mm, predominantly black hairs. Calyx 13−15 mm, tubular, rather densely covered with ± spreading white hairs up to 1.5 mm and some shorter, black hairs; teeth linear 3−5 mm. Petals violet. Standard 22−26 mm; blade c. 7 mm wide, obovate to elliptic, emarginate, gradually narrowed into the rather long claw. Wings 18−22 mm; blades narrowly oblong, rounded to obliquely, scarcely emarginate, 9−11 × 2.5−3 mm; auricle c. 1.5 mm. Keel 18−22 mm; blades oblong-curved, with in upper part ± rectangular-curved lower edge and slightly concave upper edge, acute, 8−9 × 3 mm. Ovary hairy; style glabrous. Legumes shortly stipitate, oblong to ovoid, c. 10 mm long, with a short beak, bilocular; valves densely covered with white, ± spreading hairs 3−4 mm, sitting on little tubercles and sparsely with very short hairs. Seeds rounded-reniform, 1.5−2 mm in diameter, brown.
