Rootstock up to 10 cm long, strongly branched, in upper part densely covered with remnants of old stipules and rachises. Stems of the current year 1−3 cm, densely covered with tangled, spreading hairs. Stipules white-membranous, longitudinally nerved, 8−15 mm, adnate to the petiole for 3−5 mm, loosely or toward the tip more densely hairy, the lower ones triangular, the upper ones narrowly triangular. Leaves (7−)10−12 cm; petiole 1.5−5 cm, like the rachis loosely to rather densely covered with appressed to ascending or even spreading hairs 0.5−1 mm and beside with much fewer hairs up to 2 mm, hardened and surviving but not pungent. Leaflets in 20−35 pairs, narrowly elliptic to elliptic, 3−8 × 2−3 mm, obtuse to subacute, on upper side rather densely cotton wool-like hairy, on underside subappressed hairy, the margins often upcurved. Standard 9−12 mm; blade on upper side allover densely subappressed hairy, 5−7 mm wide, obovate, emarginate, subabruptly contracted into the short claw. Wings 8−11 mm; blades glabrous or with scattered hairs, narrowly oblong, obtuse to slightly emarginate, 6−7 × 1.5−2.5 mm; auricle 1 mm, claw 3−4 mm. Keel 8−10 mm; blades triangular, with widely rectangularly curved lower edge and straight upper edge, obtuse, 6 × 3−3.5 mm; auricle c. 1 mm, claw 3−4 mm. Stamen-tube truncate at the mouth. Ovary subsessile, densely hairy; style hairy in lower half, below the stigma minutely papillose. Legumes sessile, oblong, (8−)10−11 mm long, 4−6 mm high and 3.5−4 mm wide, keeled ventrally, narrowly rounded dorsally, with a beak c. 2 mm, nearly unilocular; valves thin but tough, pale brownish, rather densely covered with long spreading hairs up to 3 mm; fruit opening along the ventral suture. Seeds 4 × 2−2.5 mm, brown, slightly rugulose.
