Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. I, p. 609Plants 15−30 cm tall, acaulescent to subacaulescent, caespitose, with thin, often curved, mostly spreading white hairs 1−3(−4) mm. Rootstock up to 10 mm thick, divided, with mostely very short subterranean stolons. Stems, if present up to 3 cm. Stipules white-membranous,, 10−15 mm, adnate to the petiole for 3−5 mm, ciliate at the margins, the lower ones oblong-obtuse, the upper ones narrowly triangular-acuminate. Leaves 15−28 cm; petiole 3−8 cm, like the rachis up to 3 mm thick, finely sulcate, very sparsely to loosely covered with spreading hairs up to 2 mm, sometimes hardening toward the end of vegetation periode and partly persistent. Leaflets in 8−10(−13) pairs, obovate to nearly orbicular, (10−)12−20 × (7−)10−16 mm, rounded or rarely very shallowly retuse, on upper side glabrous or toward the margins sparsely to loosely hairy, more rarely and especially in the youth hairy allover, on underside densely covered with long, spreading hairs. Inflorescences mostly numerous. Peduncles (3−)5−15 cm, thick, finely sulcate, sparsely to loosely covered with spreading hairs. Racemes 3−8 cm, many-flowered, elongating up to 15 cm at fruiting time. Bracts white-membranous, 5−8 mm, linear-acute, ciliate. Pedicels 2−4 mm, hairy. Calyx (13−)15−19(−22) mm, tubular, often slightly curved, sparsely or in upper part loosely to more densely covered with spreading hairs, more rarely completely glabrous or hairy only at the teeth; teeth narrowly triangular-acuminate, 3−5 mm. Petals glabrous, yellow. Standard (25−)28−35(−37) mm; blade (8−)10−12 mm wide, narrowly obovate, emarginate, below the middle often slightly constricted, subangularly passing into the claw. Wings 24−30(−32) mm; blades narrowly oblong, rounded, (9−)10−11 × (2−)2.5−3 mm; auricle acute, spreading, 1.5−2 mm, claw (12−)13−18(−21) mm. Keel ± as long as the wings; blades narrowly elliptic, straight, rounded, only connate to each other in lower third, (9−)10−11 × (4−)4.5−5 mm; auricle short, claw (12−)14−18(−21) mm. Stamen-tube slightly obliquely cut at the mouth. Ovary with a stipe 5−6 mm, hairy; style thin, long, glabrous. Legumes with a stipe 6−8 mm, narrowly ellipsoid, 18−30 mm long, 9−11 mm high and (9−)10−13 mm wide, obtusely keeled ventrally, widely grooved dorsally, with a minute beaklet c. 1 mm, incompletely bilocular (septum c. 1/2 of the fruit’s hight); valves rather thin but tough, brownish to red brown, sparsely covered with spreading hairs to glabrous when fully ripe. Seeds c. 4 × 3 mm, red brown.
