Stems in older parts ligneous, slender, prostrate, 2−10 cm; parts of the current year prostrate to ascending, (0.5−)1−3 cm, densely covered with medifixed, appressed hairs 0.3−0.5 mm. Stipules thinly membranous, 3−6(−8) mm, sparsely to loosely appressed white hairy, at the margins with basifixed hairs, adnate to the petiole up to the middle, connate behind the stem, the upper ones only shortly so, the free tips narrowly triangular. Leaves 1.5−2 cm; petiole and rachis short, slender, densely covered with ± medifixed, subappressed, partly flexuose white hairs 0.6−0.8 mm. Leaflets in 1−2 pairs, close together at the end of petiole, narrowly obovate, 6−10 × 2−4 mm, obtuse or very shortly acuminate, on both sides densely covered with symmetrically to asymmetrically bifurcate, subappressed to slightly ascending hairs 0.6−0.8 mm. Peduncles 2.5−4 cm, densely covered with symmetrically to asymmetrically bifurcate, appressed to ascending, flexuose, tangled white hairs 0.5−1 mm and with few, basifixed, spreading white hairs up to 2 mm, toward the raceme mostly with black hairs mixed in. Racemes 2−10-flowered; axis up to 3 cm, hairy like the peduncle. Bracts 5−7 mm, narrowly triangular, densely villous with mostly asymmetrically bifurcate to basifixed white and black hairs. Calyx 15−17 mm, tubular, covered with white hairs 0.5−2 mm, the short ones mostly appressed and ± medifixed, the long ones subbasifixed to basifixed and spreading, on the dorsaly side with appressed to subappressed, ± medifixed, short black hairs; teeth filiform, 2.5−3 mm, white hairs on inner side. Petals ? purple. Standard 25−30 mm; blade obovate, shortly tongue-like narrowed upward, slightly emarginate, in lower part with nearly parallel margins. Wings 21−26 mm; blades narrowly oblong, obtuse, half as long as the claw. Keel 19−24 mm; blades with gibbously curved lower edge and straight upper edge, obtuse. Ovary with a stipe 1 mm, densely white hairy with fewer black hairs mixed in. Legumes sessile, narrowly oblong, 20−30 mm long, slightly compressed laterally, obtusely keeled ventrally and dorsally, with a straight or ± curved beak (12−)20−30 mm, bilocular; valves coriaceous, densely villous with basifixed, spreading, flexuose, tangled white hairs up to 4 mm and with very short hairlets. Chromosome number: 2n = 16 (TAKHTAJAN 1990).
