Rootstock diveded, with short subterranean branches, densely covered with remnants of of old stipules. Stipules thin, white-membranous, 5−10 mm, adnate to the petiole for 3−4 mm, the lower ones widely ovate-triangular-obtuse, glabrous or shortly ciliate at the margins, the upper ones narrower, acuminate, at the margins distinctly ciliate. Leaves 3−6 cm; petiole 1−1.5(−2) cm, like the rachis nearly felty, very densely covered with tangled hairs standing in all directions, 0.6−1.5(−2) mm. Leaflets in 15−22 pairs, partly touching, ovate to elliptic, 3−5(−7) × 1.5−3(−4.5) mm, rounded, on upper side sparsely, toward the margins rather densely covered with nearly spreading hairs, on underside nearly felty, very densely covered with tangled, spreading hairs, often folded. Racemes subsessile, c. 2-flowered. Bracts white- membranous, 4−6 mm, linear-acute, hairy. Pedicels 3−4 mm, with spreading hairs. Calyx 10−14 mm, tubular, densely shortly hairy; teeth from narrowly triangular base acuminate, 3−4 mm. Petals yellow, especially the standard very soon changing to deep purple. Standard 17−20 mm; blade 8−9 mm wide, obovate-panduriform, emarginate, distinctly constricted below the middle, abruptly contracted into the rather short claw. Wings 16−17 mm; blades narrowly oblong, oblique-truncate to slightly retuse at the tip, 8−9 × 2.5−3 mm; auricle c. 2 mm, claw 8−9 mm. Keel 15−16 mm; blades triangular-elliptic, with in the middle gibbously nearly rectangularly curved lower edge and nearly straight upper edge furnished with minute teeth, slightly beak-like narrowed toward the obtuse tip, 6−7 × 4 mm; auricle short, claw c. 9 mm. Stamen-tube strongly obliquely cut at the mouth. Ovary subsessile, densely hairy; style glabrous. Legumes sessile, ellipsoid, 9−12 mm long, 5−7 mm high and wide, keeled ventrally, narrowly rounded dorsally, with a beak 1−3 mm, incompletely bilocular (septum 1/4−3/4 of the fruit’s hight); valves thin, tough, pale brown, rather densely covered with subappressed hairs up to 3 mm. Seeds 3.5−4 × 3 mm, olive brownish darker mottled, smooth.
