Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. III, p. 2338Plants 5−8 cm tall, shortly caulescent. Rootstock slightly branched. Stems 1.5−4 cm, angular, very densely covered with medifixed, appressed hairs 0.3−0.5 mm. Stipules c. 2 mm, triangular, shortly adnate to the petiole, otherwise free from each other, appressed hairy. Leaflets in (4−)5−6 pairs, ovate, 5−10 × 2−5 mm, rounded to subobtuse, on both sides densely covered with medifixed, subappressed to ascending, tangled hairs 1−1.2 mm. Peduncles up to 1 cm, densely covered with extremely asymmetrically bifurcate, subappressed to ascending white hairs 1.3−1.8 mm, with some black hairs mixed in. Racemes ovoid to oblong, rather dense. Bracts whitish-membranous, 7−8 mm, narrowly triangular, with basifixed white and black hairs. Calyx c. 18 mm, soon ovoid-inflated, densely covered with extremely asymmetrically bifurcate to subbasifixed, spreading, tangled white hairs up to 2 mm, sometimes with black hairs mixed in; teeth subulate, c. 6 mm. Petals purple or violet (when dry). Standard (21−)23−28 mm; blade c. 7 mm wide, oblong-panduriform, emarginate, distinctly constricted in lower third, with a cuneate claw. Wings (20−)23−26 mm; blades narrowly oblong, obtuse to oblique-retuse, c. 7 × 3 mm. Keel 22−25 mm; blades obliquely oblong, with widely curved lower edge and slightly concave upper edge, obtuse, c. 7 × 3 mm. Ovary sessile. Legumes sessile, oblong, (11−)12−15 mm long, 3 mm high and 2 mm wide, keeled ventrally, grooved dorsally, with a short curved beak, incompletely bilocular; valves glabrous or with scattered, basifixed, spreading white hairs c. 0.5 mm, especially along the ventral suture.
