Stems singular or several, erect or ascending at the base, mostly stout, at the base up to 5 mm in diameter, terete or slightly angular-sulcate, glabrous or more rarely in the upper part sparsely covered with appressed to spreading, white hairs. Stipules whitish-membranous, 10–15(–20) mm, with longitudinal nerves, the lower ones narrowly triangular-acuminate, adnate to the petiole for up to 5 mm, the upper ones narrower, long acuminate, nearly free from petiole, all glabrous or sparsely ciliate, soon falling. Leaves 10–18 cm, nearly sessile; rachis glabrous or loosely to rather densely shortly appressed hairy. Leaflets in 11–17 pairs, elliptic to narrowly elliptic, 10–25 × 5–10 mm, narrowly rounded to acute, minutely mucronulate, glabrous or more rarely sparsely to rather densely subappressed hairy on both sides. Peduncles in the axils of the upper leaves, very short or up to 6 cm, glabrous or more rarely appressed hairy. Racemes globose, densely many-flowered. Bracts greenish, 5–15 mm, glabrous or ciliate. Pedicels 2–3 mm, glabrous or hairy. Bracteoles abent. Calyx 12–14(–17) mm, shortly tubular, loosely to densely covered with tangled, appressed to spreading, very short white hairs and additionally with hairs up to 1 mm, rarely with black hairs mixed in or nearly glabrous; teeth subulate, 5–8(–10) mm.
