Rootstock strong, with a pluricipital root-crown, in upper part covered with remnants of old stipules. Stipules white-membranous,, 6−12(−16) mm, adnate to the petiole for 2−3 mm, shortly ciliate at the margins, the lower ones ovate-triangular, obtuse, the upper ones narrowly triangular, acute. Leaves (10−)13−28 cm; petiole 1−2.5 cm, like the rachis sparsely to loosely furnished with spreading hairs. Leaflets in (7−)10−15 pairs, the lower ones mostly distinctly smaller than the upper ones, widely elliptic to widely obovate, (8−)10−20(−25) × (6−)8−16(−20) mm, slightly emarginate, on upper side glabrous, on underside loosely to rather densely covered with ascending hairs, especially at the midvein and margins, with narrow whitish to reddish, cartilagineous margins. Keel 21−23 mm; blades oblique-elliptic, with widely but slightly curved lower edge and slightly concave upper edge, in apical part furnished with minute teeth, slightly beak-like narrowed toward the obtuse tip, c. 9 × 3 mm; auricle c. 1 mm, claw 12−14 mm. Legumes with a stipe 3−5 mm, ellipsoid, 25−37 mm long, 12−18 mm high and 15−20 mm wide, rounded with slightly prominent midnerve ventrally and dorsally, contracted into a beak 2−3 mm, incompletely bilocular (septum 1/3−1/2 of fruit’s hight); valves rather thin but hard, pale brown to dark reddish- suffused, sparsely covered with ascending hairs, glabrescent with age.
