Stem, if present, up to 4 cm, angular- sulcate, with spreading hairs. Stipules thinly white-membranous, often reddish-suffused at the base, 7−12 mm, adnate to the petiole for 1−2 mm, ciliate at the margins, the lower ones triangular-acute, the upper ones narrowly triangular, long acuminate. Leaves (10−)20−35 cm; petiole (3−)5−7 cm, like the rachis strong, up to 2.5 mm thick, loosely to rather densely covered with spreading hairs. Leaflets in (9−)12−25 pairs, ovate to elliptic, (8−)10−18 × (5−)7−14 mm, rounded to slightly emarginate, on upper side glabrous, on underside loosely to densely subappressed hairy.
