Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. III, p. 2140Plants c. 23 cm tall, shortly caulescent. Rootstock branched, with short subterranean to aerial stolons 2−3 cm. Stems of the current year several, 2−3(−5) cm, very densely covered with symmetrically to asymmetrically bifurcate, appressed white hairs 0.8−1 mm. Stipules thinly membranous, 4−5 mm, narrowly triangular, adnate to the petiole, vaginate-connate behind the stem up to the middle, sparsely to loosely covered with appressed white and black hairs. Leaves (6−)10−13 cm; petiole and rachis slender, densely hairy like the stem. Leaflets in 2−3 pairs, elliptic, acute or rarely obtuse with a very short mucro, the terminal one 22−30 × 11−15 mm, the lateral ones 13−18 × 8−11 mm, on both sides densely covered with medifixed, appressed hairs 1−1.5 mm. Peduncles 12−14(−17) cm, densely hairy like the stem. Racemes 5−6-flowered, at fruiting time loose, 5−8 cm long; rachis densely covered with subappressed black and white hairs. Bracts 3−4 mm, narrowly triangular, with black and few white hairs. Pedicels 1.5−2 mm, densely covered with ascending white and black hairs. Calyx at fruiting time 23−29 mm, ovoid-inflated, with dark red nerves, sparsely covered with ascending white, at the teeth white and black hairs; teeth linear-acute, 4−6 mm. Petals ? yellowish. Standard 24−26 mm; blade 7−8 mm wide, obovate, rounded, gradually narrowed into the claw. Wings 24−25 mm; blades narrowly oblong, rounded, 7−9 × 2 mm; claw c. 16 mm. Keel 22−23 mm; blades with widely semicircularly curved lower edge and straight upper edge, subacute, 6−7 × 3 mm; claw c. 16 mm. Legumes with a stipe c. 2.5 mm, enclosed in the calyx, narrowly ellipsoid, acute at both ends, 13−14 mm long, c. 5 mm high, bilocular; valves very densely lanate, with tangled, soft, white hairs 2.5−3 mm sitting on little tubercles.
