Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. III, p. 2086Plants 8−15(−25) cm tall, subacaulescent to shortly caulescent, loosely to rather densely caespitose. Rootstock irregularly strongly and sometimes repeatedly divided, with short to elongated, blackish, subterranean branches, in upper part covered with remnants of old leaves. Stems 0.5−5(−10) cm, angular-sulcate, ascending to erect, very densely covered with strongly asymmetrically bifurcate, tangled, ascending white hairs 1(−1.5) mm. Stipules 4−5(−10) mm, narrowly triangular, adnate to the petiole for 1−2 mm, densely hairy like the stem. Leaves (3−)5−12 cm; petiole (1−)3−5 cm, with the rachis densely hairy like the stem. Leaflets in 6−10(−12) pairs, narrowly elliptic to more rarely elliptic, 4−15 × 2−5 mm, on upper side loosely, on underside densely hairy like the stem. Racemes subsessile or with a peduncle up to 6 cm, with subappressed to ascending hairs like the stem, rather loosely 4−8(−10)-flowered. Bracts whitish, narrowly triangular to linear-acute, 4−8 mm. loosely covered with subbasifixed to basifixed, ± spreading white, or black and white or predominantly black hairs up to 1 mm. Pedicels 2−4 mm, white or black or white and black hairy. Calyx 14−16 mm, tubular at anthesis, obliquely cut at the mouth, slightly inflated later on, rather densely covered with strongly asymmetrically bifurcate, tangled, ascending white hairs c. 1 mm and at the dorsal side with often shorter black hairs, sometimes te black hairy only at the teeth; teeth subulate, 2−5(−6) mm, densely white or white and black hairy on inner side. Petals white or pale lilac. Standard 20−25(−27) mm; blade 7−10 mm wide, obovate, often deeply emarginate, slightly constricted below the middle, subabruptly narrowed into the narrowly cuneate claw. Wings 18−21 mm; blades narrowly oblong, sometimes slightly dilated upward, obliquely laterally emarginate, 8−11 × 2.5−3.5 mm; auricle c. 1 mm, claw 10−12 mm. Keel 17−18 mm; blades obliquely obovate, with widely curved lower edge and slightly concave upper edge, subobtuse, 6 × 3 mm; auricle minute, claw 10−12 mm. Stamen-tube truncate at the mouth. Ovary sessile to subsessile, densely white hairy; style glabrous. Legumes with a stipe c. 2 mm, 10−14 mm long, 4−5 mm high and c. 4 mm wide, obtusely keeled ventrally, shallowly grooved to flattened dorsally, shortly acuminate, nearly fully bilocular; valves thinly coriaceous, straw-colored, densely villous, with strongly asymmetrically bifurcate, flexuose-curved, tangled white hairs up to 1.5 mm, with black hairs mixed in.
