Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. III, p. 2341Plants (10−)13−25 cm tall, nearly acaulescent, loosely caespitose. Stems 1−1.5 cm, densely covered with ± medifixed, appressed white hairs 0.5−0.8 mm. Stipules 3−6 mm, narrowly triangular, adnate to the petiole for 1−2 mm, otherwise free from each other, densely appressed hairy, also on inner (upper) side. Leaves 3−8 cm; petiole 1−3 cm, with the rachis hairy like the stem. Leaflets in 3−5 pairs, elliptic to obovate, (6−)8−20 × 3−7 mm, acute or rarely subobtuse, on both sides densely hairy like the stem. Peduncles (5−)7−18 cm, appressed white hairy. Racemes 2.5−5.5 cm long, loosely to rather densely 10−many-flowered. Bracts 2−3 mm, narrowly triangular, white and black ciliate. Flowers subsessile. Calyx initially tubular, 7−8 mm, becoming ovoid-inflated, 11−13 mm, rather densely covered with symmetrically to asymmetrically bifurcate, appressed white hairs 0.5−0.8 mm, in upper part and along the main nerves also with appressed black hairs forming stripes on the young calyx; teeth 1.5−3 mm, white hairy on inner side. Petals violet. Standard 13−15(−17) mm; blade c. 5 mm wide, elliptic to obovate, slightly to distinctly emarginate, scarcely to slightly constricted below the middle, obtusely angularly passing into the short claw. Wings 11−13(−16) mm; blades narrowly oblong, obliquely emarginate. 6 × 1.5 mm; auricle 0.8 mm, claw 6−8 mm. Keel 10−12(−14) mm; blades elliptic-curved, with widely curved lower edge and concave upper edge, acute, 4 × 1.5 mm; auricle c. 0.5 mm, claw 6−8 mm. Stamen-tube truncate aat the mouth. Ovary subsessile, ovoid, hairy; style glabrous. Legumes ovoid. 4−5 mm long.
