Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. II, p. 892Plants 7–30(–50) cm tall. Rootstock up to 6 mm in diameter, with pluricipital root-crown, copiously branched. Stems several, 2–6(–10) cm, slender, prostrate to ascending or more rarely erect, sparsely covered with appressed white hairs 0.3–0.4 mm, sometimes glabrous. Stipules (1.5–)2–4(–6) mm, whitish-membranous, widely triangular, very shortly adnate to the petiole, the lower ones vaginate-connate behind the stem highly up, often nearly to the top, the upper ones often nearly free, all hairy at the margins and toward the tip. Leaves (3–)5–10 cm; petiole very slender, 1–4 cm, ± as long as the rachis, like the rachis sparsely covered with ascending or appressed hairs or sometimes glabrous. Leaflets in 4–8(–10) pairs, obovate to triangular-obovate, sometimes also rounded-cordate, mostly deeply and widely incised, more rarely only retuse or rounded, 2–5(–10) × (1–)1.5–2.5(–5), glabrous on upper side, with appressed hairs on underside especially at the midvein and margins, sometimes nearly glabrous. Peduncle 6–17(–24) cm, at the base very sparsely covered with white and black hairs, toward the raceme more densely and increasingly with spreading black hairs. Racemes capitate to ovoid, 1.2–1.6 cm lang, later on slightly elongating up to 2 cm, many-flowered. Bracts narrowly ovate, acute, 3.5–4 mm, whitish-membranous, loosely covered with curled, spreading black hairs 0.5–1 mm. Flowers subsessile. Calyx 3–5 mm, shortly cylindric-campanulate, loosely to rather densely covered with ascending black hairs up to 0.5 mm; teeth subulate, 2(–2.5) mm, ± as long as the tube. Petals whitish or more rarely dilute-violet. Standard 6–8 × 3.5−4 mm, ovate to elliptic, widely incised, widely cuneately narrowed at the base. Wings 5–7 mm; blades narrowly oblong-rectangular, retuse, 3–3.5 × c. 1.3 mm; auricle c. 1 mm, claw 2–3 mm. Keel 4.5–6 mm lang; blades nearly rectangular to obliquely triangular, with in upper part rectangularly curved lower edge and straight upper edge, 2.5–3 × c. 1.7 mm; auricle c. 0.3 mm, claw 2–3 mm. Stamen-tube obliquely cut at the mouth. Ovary sessile, ovoid.. Legume sessile, ovoid, 4–5 mm long, 2–3 mm high and wide, slightly keeled ventrally, deeply grooved dorsally, acuminate and shortly beaked, unilocular; valves thin, smooth, covered with ± appressed black and some white hairs up to 1 mm. Seeds two, c. 2 × 1.2 mm, brown, dull.
