Stems 7−35 cm, ascending, finely sulcate, sparsely covered with appressed hairs 0.3−1 mm. Stipules whitish to greenish, 3−4 mm, narrowly triangular to triangular, adnate to the petiole for 0.5−1 mm, ciliate at the margins or sparsely covered with white and black hairs.
