Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. III, p. 2342Plants 6–18 cm tall, acaulescent, loosely caespitose, in vegetative parts mostly with ± medifixed, warty, appressed to subappressed hairs 0.8–1 mm. Rootstock divided with short, stout, blackish branches. Stipules whitish-hyaline, ovate-triangular, 4–7 mm, adnate to the petiole for c. 2 mm, sometimes before the petiole higher up shortly connate, distinctly vaginate-connate behind the stem up to 3/4 of the length, densely covered with subappressed white hairs, at the margins with basifixed or subbasifixed cilia. Leaves 2.5–10 cm; petiole 0.7–3.5 cm, like the rachis densely hairy. Leaflets in 3–6 pairs, narrowly elliptic to elliptic or obovate, 5–12 × 2–5(–7) mm, acute to rounded or shortly acuminate, on both sides very densely appressed hairy. Peduncles 4–12 cm, angular-sulcate, loosely to rather densely covered with subappressed white, toward the raceme also black hairs. Racemes subglobose to ovoid, densely many-flowered, 2.5–4(–8) cm long. Bracts whitish-membranous, 3–5 mm, narrowly triangular, ovate-acute, covered with strongly asymmetrically bifurcate and especially at the margins with basifixed white and black hairs. Pedicels 1–2 mm, predominantly black hairy. Calyx at anthesis tubular, 8–11 mm, rather densely covered with strongly asymmetrically bifurcate to subbasifixed, spreading white hairs up to 1.5 mm and with distinctly shorter, partly ± medifixed partly subbasifixed, mostly subappressed black hairs; teeth narrowly triangular-linear, 1.5–2(–2.5) mm, hairy on inner side; fruiting calyx only slightly elongated, bladdery inflated, ovoid, loosely hairy. Petals pale yellowish to whitish. Standard 17–18 mm; blade oblong-elliptic, 5–6 mm wide, distinctly emarginate, slightly constricted in lower third, angularly and shortly narrowed at the base. Wings 16–17 mm; blades narrowly oblong, obliquely emarginate, 7 × 2.5 mm; auricle c. 0.5 mm, claw 9–10 mm. Keel 13–14 mm; blades obliquely triangular-elliptic, with widely curved lower edge and slightly concave upper edge, subacute, 6 x.2.5 mm. Stamen-tube truncate at the mouth. Legumes enclosed in the calyx, subsessile, narrowly ellipsoid, 5–6 mm long, c. 3 mm high, compressed laterally, keeled ventrally, obtusely keeled to narrowly flattened dorsally, with a short beak, nearly fully bilocular; valves thinly coriaceous, rather densely covered with subapressed to ascending, tangled white, sometimes also with some black hairs up to 1.5 mm.
