Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. III, p. 1945Plants up to 45 cm tall, subshrubby, covered with medifixed, appressed hairs. Rootstock stout, up to 9 mm thick, ligneous, densely shortly branched. Stems of the current year slender, 15−25 cm, densely covered with white hairs 0.6–0.8 mm, at the nodes sometimes with black hairs mixed in. Stipules greenish, 2−4 mm, narrowly triangular to linear-acute, with appressed black or white and black hairs. Leaves 7−8 cm; petiole 1.5−2 cm, with the rachis slender, loosely to densely hairy like the stem, sometimes glabrescent with age. Leaflets in 3−5 pairs, mostly narrowly elliptic but also sometimes linear or elliptic, 10−25 × 2−5 mm, subobtuse to subacute, on both sides loosely covered with hairs 1–1.2 mm. Peduncles 6−12 cm, sparsely to loosely white hairy like the stem. Racemes 5−8 cm long, remotely few-flowered; rachis with appressed white and black hairs. Bracts 2−3 mm, narrowly triangular, black hairy. Calyx 17−19 mm, tubular, obliquely cut at the mouth, loosely covered with appressed to subappressed, ± medifixed black hairs 0.3–0.8 mm, with some symmetrically to strongly asymmetrically bifurcate white hairs up to 1 mm mixed in; teeth narrowly triangular, 1–1.5 mm, white hairy on inner side. Petals yellow. Standard 28−30 mm; blade oblong- obovate, emarginate, slightly constricted about the middle, at the base subangularly passing into the long claw. Wings c. 25 mm; blades narrowly oblong, obtuse, ca, 8 mm long. Keel c. 23 mm. Legumes with a stipe 4−7 mm, nodding to spreading, linear, straight to slightly to more rarely distinctly curved, acuminate at both ends, 20−28 mm long, keeled ventrally, widely grooved dorsally, trigonous in cross- section, bilocular; valves coriaceous, glabrous.
