Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. III, p. 1673Plants 12−42 cm tall, acaulescent to subacaulescent, caespitose. Rootstock up to 10 mm in diameter, divided, with short, thick branches covered with greyish black bark and in upper part with remnants of old leaves. Stems, if present, several, up to 0.3 cm, ligneous at the base. Stipules whitish, c. 5 mm, triangular or the upper ones narrowly triangular, adnate to the petiole for 1−1.5 mm, acuminate, loosely white hairy to subglabrous, at the margins with subbasifixed hairs. Leaves 5−15 cm; petiole 1−2.5 cm, like the rachis grooved adaxially, loosely to rather densely covered with medifixed, appressed hairs 0.6−1 mm. Leaflets in 5−8(−11) pairs, narrowly elliptic, 6−20 ×1−4 mm, acute to acuminate, on upper side loosely, on underside rather densely covered with medifixed, appressed hairs c. 1 mm. Peduncles 10−40 cm, sulcate, loosely white hairy like the rachis. Racemes ovoid, 2−2.5 cm long, densely many-flowered. Bracts whitish-hyaline, 2−4 mm, narrowly triangular, white and black hairy, at the margins with subbasifixed hairs. Calyx 7−11 mm, campanulate-tubular, covered with ± medifixed, subappressed to ascending white hairs 0.6−1 mm and, especially along the main nerves and at the teeth, with black hairs, therefore black striped, at the teeth also with strongly asymmetrically bifurcate hairs; teeth subulate, 3−5 mm, white hairy on inner side. Petals purplish violet. Standard 13−16 mm; blade c. 3.5 mm wide, narrowly elliptic, subacute, at the base subangularly passing into the short claw. Wings 10−12 mm; blades narrowly oblong, distinctly narrowed toward the subacute tip, 5−6 × 1 mm; auricle minute, claw 5−6 mm. Keel 7−9 mm; blades slightly obliquely elliptic, with widely curved lower edge and slightly curved edge, subacute, 3.5−4 × 1.5 mm; auricle minute, claw 4−5 mm. Stamen-tube truncate at the mouth. Ovary sessile, densely hairy; style glabrous. Legumes ovoid, 5−9 mm long, c. 3 mm high, 2 mm wide, keeled ventrally, grooved dorsally, with a slender, curved beak 3−5 mm, nearly fully bilocular; valves densely covered with subbasifixed, ± spreading white hairs 2−2.5 mm.
