Rootstock up to 8 mm in diameter, branched, in upper part covered with dark brown bark. Stems mostly several, the older parts ligneous, branched near the base, parts of the current year 3–12 cm, very densely covered with white hairs 0.6−0.8 mm, sometimes at the nodes with few black hairs mixed in. Stipules 1−2 mm, whitish to greenish, triangular, shortly adnate to the petiole, with white and sometimes few black hairs. Leaves 2−5 cm; petiole 0.5–1.5 cm, like the rachis slender, loosely to densely hairy like the stem. Leaflets in 5−7 pairs, narrowly elliptic, 4–11 × 0.5–2 mm, subobtuse to acute, on both sides loosely to densely covered with white hairs 0.5−0.8 mm, mostly flat. Peduncle 5–10 cm, loosely to densely hairy like the stem, with black hairs mixed in, especially toward the raceme. Raceme capitate-umbellate, 4–8(−10)-flowered. Bracts membranous, ovate, 1–1.5 mm, white and black hairy. Pedicels 1–1.5 mm, white and black hairy. Calyx 8–10 mm, tubular, slightly obliquely gibbous at the base, obliquely cut at the mouth, densely covered with ± asymmetrically bifurcate, often somewhat flexuose, subappressed white hairs 0.5−0.8 mm (predominantly at upper side) and with more symmetrically bifurcate, shorter black hairs (predominantly at lower side); teeth narrowly triangular, 0.5–1.5 mm, densely white hairy on inner side. Petals lilac. Standard 20–22 mm; blade c. 8 mm wide, obovate, emarginate, at the base subangularly passing into the cuneate claw. Wings 18–20 mm; blades narrowly oblong, rounded to slightly obliquely emarginate, 8 × 3 mm; auricle c. 1 mm, claw 10–12 mm. Keel 16–18 mm; blades obliquely obovate, with in upper part widely, nearly rectangularly curved lower side and slightly sigmoid upper side, subacute, 6 × 3 mm; auricle 0.5 mm, claw 10–12 mm. Stamen-tube truncate at the mouth. Ovary with a stipe c. 1 mm, linear, sparsely hairy; style glabrous. Legumes erect to obliquely erect or spreading, shortly stipitate, linear, straight, 20–35 mm long, 1.5–2 mm high, c. 1 mm wide, obtusely keeled ventrally and dorsally, with a straight, slender beak 1–2 mm, nearly fully bilocular; valves thin but tough, rather densely covered with appressed to subappressed, asymmetrically bifurcate white hairs c. 1 mm and with more symmetrically bifurcate, shorter black hairs.
