Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. III, p. 2007Plants 5−7 cm tall, acaulescent or nearly so, densely caespitose, mat-forming. Rootstock up to 10 mm thick, divided with short subterranean branches. Stems, if present, up to 2 cm, angular-sulcate, very densely covered with medifixed, appressed white hairs 0.8−1 mm. Stipules 2−3 mm, triangular, shortly adnate to the petiole, appressed white hairy, at the margins also with basifixed hairs. Leaves 2−4.5 cm; petiole 1−3 cm, like the rachis slender, densely hairy like the stem. Leaflets in 1−2 pairs, elliptic to rarely obovate, (4−)7−15(−20) × (2−)4−7 mm, shortly acuminate to rarely obtuse, covered on both sides rather densely to densely with ± medifixed, appressed hairs 0.8−1 mm. Keel 24−26 mm; blades elliptic-curved, with widely curved lower edge and concave upper edge, obtuse, c. 7 × 3.5 mm; auricle short, claw c. 18 mm. Stamen-tube truncate at the mouth. Ovary with a stipe 1−2 mm, narrowly oblong, hairy. Legumes with a stipe c. 1 mm, narrowly oblong, c. 20 mm long, 7 mm high and 5 mm wide, keeled ventrally, narrowly grooved dorsally, with a curved beak c. 1.5 mm, incompletely bilocular; valves coriaceous, densely shaggy with stiff white hairs.
