Rootstock up to 10 mm thick, strongly branched with short subterranean stolons. Stems of the current year 3−9 cm, whitish, glabrous, slightly sulcate. Stipules white- membranous, 5−10 mm, adnate to the petiole for 2−4 mm, glabrous, the lower ones ovate-triangular, obtuse, the upper ones narrowly triangular, finely acuminate. Leaves 16−26 cm; petiole 1.5−4 cm, like the rachis sparsely covered with appressed hairs 0.1−0.2 mm or glabrous, at the end of the vegetation periode slightly hardening but not pungent, partly persistent. Leaflets in 20−30 pairs, narrowly elliptic, 3−8(−10) × 1.5−3 mm, obtuse, on upper side glabrous, on underside sparsely appressed hairy. Racemes with a glabrous, slender peduncle 1−3 cm, loosely 3−4-flowered. Bracts whitish- membranous, 5−7 mm, linear-acuminate, glabrous. Pedicels 3−7 mm, glabrous. Calyx 11−15 mm, tubular, glabrous; teeth unequal 2−5 mm, subulate. Petals yellow, with violet-tipped keel. Standard 19−22 mm; blade 7−8 mm wide, oblong, with parallel or slightly constricted margins, slightly emarginate, subangularly passing into the rather wide claw. Wings 18−20 mm; blades narrowly oblong, with in the middle slightly constricted margins, rounded, 8−9 × 2.5 mm; auricle c. 0.8 mm, claw 9−11 mm. Keel 15−18 mm; blades obliquely elliptic-triangular, with widely, nearly rectangular- curved lower edge and slightly curved upper edge, subacute, 6−7 × 3−4 mm; auricle indistinct, claw 8−11 mm. Ovary sessile or with a stipe up to 1.5 mm, glabrous. Legumes sessile or subsesssile, ellipsoid, 11−13 mm long, 5−6 mm high and wide, keeled ventrally, widely grooved dorsally, with a subulate, straight beak 1−3 mm, bilocular; valves thin but tough, pale brown, glabrous. Seeds 4 × 2.5 mm, brownish, smooth.
