Rootstock up to 8 mm thick, divided, the short, subterranean branches densely covered with remnants of old stipules and hardened petioles. Stipules white-membranous, 8−12(−16) mm, adnate to the petiole for 2−5 mm, densely hairy, the lower ones oblong-ovate, obtuse, the upper ones narrowly triangular, acuminate. Leaves 7−20 cm; petiole short, 1−2 cm, like the rachis loosely to densely covered with spreading hairs 0.3−0.5 mm and with few hairs up to 1.5 mm, partly hardening with age and in basal parts persistent. Leaflets opposite or in (12−)15−20 remote whorls with 3−4(−6) leaflets each, narrowly oblong to narrowly obovate, 3−10(−13) × 2−4 mm, rounded to slightly emarginate, on upper side glabrous, on underside densely appressed hairy, mostly folded. Peduncles 1.5−3(−4) cm, loosely covered with spreading hairs. Racemes loosely 2−4-flowered. Bracts whitish-membranous, 5−6 mm, linear-acuminate, with ascending hairs. Pedicels c. 5 mm, with short, spreading hairs. Calyx 17−20 mm, tubular, densely covered with tangled, spreading hairs; teeth (4−)5−7 mm. Petals reddish yellow, fading red. Standard 23−28 mm; blade 9−10 mm wide, nearly rectangularl-oblong, rounded et slightly emarginate, angularly passing into the rather long claw. Wings 22−26 mm; blades oblong-spathulate, distinctly widened upward, rounded, 8−10 × 3.5 mm; auricle c. 2.5 mm, claw 13−16 mm. Keel 21−23 mm; blades triangular-elliptic, with nearly rectangularly curved lower edge and S-like curved upper edge, in apical part furnished with minute teeth, slightly beak-like narrowed toward the obtuse tip, 6−7 × 3.5 mm; auricle acute, c. 1.5 mm, claw 14−16 mm. Stamen-tube obliquely cut at the mouth. Ovary with a stipe 3−4 mm, densely hairy; style hairy in basal part. Legumens with a stipe 2−3 mm, oblong to ellipsoid, (17−)20−27 mm long, 8−10 mm high and 14−15 mm wide, slightly keeled ventrally, widely and shallowly grooved dorsally, with a beak 2−3 mm, incompletely bilocular (septum c. 2/3 of the fruit’s hight); valves thin but tough, pale brownish or slightly reddish-suffused, loosely to densely covered with very thin, long, spreading hairs.
