Rootstock up to 12 mm in diameter, with a pluricipital root-crown, in upper part densely covered with remnants of old stipules and petioles. Stipules whitish-membranous or partly brownish, 10−15 mm, adnate to the petiole for 4−5 mm, sometimes connate to each other for c. 1 mm more, ciliate at the margins, the lower ones ovate or oblong, obtuse, the upper ones narrowly triangular. Leaves 5−14 cm; petiole 2−5 cm, like the rachis finely striate, loosely to rather densely, in upper part sometimes sparsely covered with spreading hairs 0.5−3 mm. Leaflets in 12−22 pairs, narrowly ovate to ovate, 4−10 × 2−4(−6) mm, obtuse to subacute, on upper side glabrous, on underside rather densely covered with appressed to ascending hairs, often folded. Peduncles 0.5−1 cm, sparsely to loosely covered with spreading hairs. Racemes 2−4-flowered. Bracts white-membranous, 6−8 mm, linear-acute, hairy. Pedicels 3−5 mm with spreading hairs. Keel (14−)17−19 mm; blades oblique-elliptic, with widely curved lower edge and nearly straight upper edge in apical part furnished with minute teeth, slightly beak-like narrowed toward the obtuse tip; auricle short, acute, claw (7−)10−11 mm.
