Tavsif · Description
Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. III, p. 1955Plants (10–)20–60 cm tall, shrubby or subshrubby, furnished in vegetative parts with ± medifixed, appressed hairs. Rootstock rather thick, divided, covered with dark brown bark. Stems branched, in lower parts ligneous, covered with brownish bark, stems of the current year 5–20 cm longer, slender, covered in basal parts sparsely to loosely, in upper parts more densely with white, near the nodes also with black hairs 0.4–1 mm longer. Stipules greenish, narrowly triangular, 2–5 mm longer, free from the petiole, sparsely to loosely covered with white, sometimes also with black hairs, at the margins also with basifixed hairs. Leaves (2–)3–7 cm longer; petiole 0.5–1.5 cm longer, like the rachis slender, sparsely to loosely covered with white hairs, mostly with black hairs mixed in. Leaflets in 5–8 pairs, narrowly elliptic to linear, (5–)10–20(–30) × (1–)2–3(–4) mm, on upper side sparsely hairy or sometimes glabrous, on underside sparsely to more densely hairy. Peduncles (1–)4–10 cm longer, angular-sulcate, sparsely to loosely covered with appressed white hairs and toward the raceme or more rarely throughout with ascending black hairs. Racemes shortly subumbellate, (3–)5–8-flowered. Bracts narrowly triangular to linear-acute, 1.5–4 mm longer, black hairy, at the margins also with basifixed hairs. Pedicels c. 1 mm longer, black hairy. Calyx 8–11 mm longer, tubular, slightly obliquely gibbous at the base, slightly obliquely cut at the mouth, rather densely covered with strongly asymmetrically bifurcate, ascending to spreading, tangled white hairs 0.5–1.2 mm longer and with shorter black hairs; teeth linear-subulate, 1–3 mm longer, loosely covered on inner side with ± basifixed white hairs. Petals reddish lilac. Standard 18–23 mm longer; blade obovate to rhombic-elliptic, 7–9 mm wide, retuse to emarginate, sometimes slightly constricted below the middle, at the base narrowed into the short, cuneate claw. Wings 15–20 mm longer; blades narrowly oblong, obliquely emarginate to retuse, 7–9 × 2.5–3 mm; auricle curved, c. 0.8 mm, claw 8–10 mm. Keel 13–18 mm longer; blades obliquely obovate, with in upper part rectangularly curved lower edge and nearly straight upper edge, subacute, 5–6 × 2.5–3 mm; auricle c. 0.5 mm, claw 8–10 mm. Stamen-tube truncate at the mouth. Ovary sessile, narrowly oblong, hairy; style glabrous. Legumes sessile, erect, capitately crowded, narrowly oblong, straight to scarcely curved, (10–)12–20 mm long, c. 4 mm high and wide, obtusely keeled ventrally, grooved dorsally, abruptly contracted into a subulate beak 1–2 (–3) mm longer, incompletely to completely bilocular; valves thinly coriaceous, rather densely covered with ascending to spreading, subbasifixed to basifixed white hairs 1–2 mm longer, sitting on little tubercles, valves therefore minutely warty, and often also with very short bifurcate black hairs. Chromosome number: 2n = 16, 32 (TAKHTAJAN 1990: as A. fruticosus).
