Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. III, p. 2118Plants dwarf, at anthesis 5−10 cm tall, subacaulescent or shortly caulescent, subshrubby. Rootstock branched, with many tangled, short branches. Stems absent or up to 9 cm, densely covered with subappressed, ± medifixed hairs 1−1.3 mm. Stipules herbaceous, 2−4 mm, triangular, adnate to the petiole for 1−2 mm, otherwise free from each other. Leaves 3−7(−10) cm; petiole 1−3 cm, like the rhachis slender, rather densely covered with appressed, medifixed hairs 0.6−0.8 mm. Leaflets in 5−6(−8) pairs, narrowly elliptic, 4−10 × 1−2 mm, rounded or slightly emarginate, on upper side glabrous, margins and undersside loosely covered with tangled, ± spreading, medifixed hairs c. 1 mm. Peduncles 3−4(−6) cm, loosely hairy like the rhachis. Racemes short, loosely 5−6-flowered. Bracts membranous, 2−3 mm, black hairy. Pedicels 2−2.5 mm. Calyx ca. 12−14 mm, rather densely to densely covered with asymmetrically bifurcate, ascending, tangled black hairs 0.3−0.4 mm, at ventral side also with white hairs; teeth 2.5−4 mm.
