Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. II, p. 1375Plants dwarf subshrubs, 20−30 cm tall, loosely branched from the base. Hairs merely white, 0.1−1 mm, at the calyx 3−4.5 mm, mostly thin. Stems from a prostrate base ascending, up to 35 cm; parts of the current year 1−5 cm, 1.5−3.5 mm in diameter, densely appressed hairy, gradually glabrescent. Stipules chartaceous, yellowish white, 7−17 mm, adnate to the petiole for 4−10 mm, otherwise free from each other, narrowly triangular, acute or acuminate, with 3−8 parallele nerves at free part, densel appressed tomentose, gradually glabrescent or at free portion soon glabrescent. Leaves 2−6 cm, often remote, obliquely erect to horizontal; petiole 0.5−2 cm, like the rachis thick, rigid, densely tomentose, gradually glabrescent; terminal spine 2−4 times longer than the uppermost leaflets. Leaflets in 4−7 pairs, folded, becomming flat with age, greyish green, 3.5−12 × 1−6 mm, narrowly elliptic, subobtuse, with a mucro 0.5−1 mm, on both sides densely covered with appressed, tangled hairs, glabrescent with age. Petals yellowish white, claws of the wings and keel adnate to the stamen-tube only a the base. Standard 15−22 × c. 6 mm, not differentiated into blade and claw, oblong-pandurate, emarginate, constricted in distal third, below the constriction roundly dilated, narrower to wider than upper part. Wings 14−18 mm; blades narrowly oblong, obtuse, 5−6 × 2−2.5 mm; auricle 0.2−0.8 mm; claw 9−12.5 mm. Keel 13−17 mm; blades obliquely elliptic, with slightly and widely curved lower edge and ± straight upper edge, subobtuse, 5−6 × 2.5−3 mm; claw 9.5−12 mm. Stamens 12−16 mm at upper 1.5−2 mm free from each other. Ovary densely appressed hairy; style 9−12 mm, hairy up to 2/3−4/5 of the length. Legumes ellipsoid to ovoid, c. 6 mm long, 2.5−3.5 mm high and 1.2−1.5 mm wide, laterally compressed, with a beak 0.2−0.5 mm; valves near the base sparsely, further up densely appressed hairy. Seeds light to dark brown, with sparse black spots, 4−4.5 × 2−2.5 mm, ± rugose.
