Tavsif · Description
Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. III, p. 1961Plants 30–70 cm tall, subshrubby, covered in vegetative parts with appressed, symmetrically to slightly asymmetrically bifurcate hairs. Rootstock covered with grey brownish bark. Stems erect, branched, mostly with short, non-flowering brachyblasts, the older ligneous parts covered with greyish brown bark, stems of the current year 2–15 cm, densely covered with white and black or predominatly black, more rarely with predominantly white hairs 0.3–1 mm. Stipules greenish to whitish, narrowly triangular, (3–)5–6 mm, adnate to the petiole for 2–3 mm, loosely to rather densely covered with white and black hairs, at the margins with partly basifixed hairs. Leaves 4–9 cm, those of the brachyblasts shorter, nearly sessile; rachis sparsely to loosely white hairy. Leaflets in 6–10 pairs, in brachyblast leaves only in 3–5 pairs, narrowly elliptic to elliptic or obovate, 5–15 × 2–5 mm, obtuse to rounded and minutely mucronulate, green on both sides, on upper side sparsely to loosely, on underside slightly more densely covered with white hairs 1–1.8 mm. Peduncles 5–12 cm, sparsely to rather loosely covered with white and toward the raceme increasing black hairs. Racemes ovoid, 2–4 cm long, rather densely 10–25-flowered, at fruiting time elongated up to 7 cm; axis loosely covered with strongly asymmetrically bifurcate to nearly basifixed, ± spreading white hairs up to 1.5 mm and more densely with appressed, ± medifixed black hairs up to 0.5 mm. Bracts whitish-membranous, narrowly triangular to linear-acute, 3–5 mm, black and white hairy, at the margins with subbasifixed to basifixed hairs. Pedicels c. 1 mm, predominantly black hairy. Calyx 11–16 mm, tubular, slightly obliquely gibbous at the base, strongly obliquely cut at the mouth, loosely to rather densely covered with strongly asymmetrically bifurcate to nearly basifixed, ± spreading white hairs up to 1.5 mm and more densely with appressed, ± medifixed black hairs up to 0.5 mm; teeth subulate, 4–5 mm, sparsely hairy on inner side. Petals violet. Standard 20–23 mm; blade rhombic-ovate, c. 8 mm wide, subabruptly contracted into the widely tongue-like, obtuse tip, subangularly passing into the cuneate claw. Wings 16–19 mm; blades narrowly oblong, slightly narrowed toward the obtuse to minutely emarginate tip, 8 × 2.2 mm; auricle c. 1 mm, claw 10 mm. Keel 12–17 mm; blades obliquely obovate, with widely curved lower edge and sigmoid-curved upper edge, subacute, 5–6 × 2.5 mm; auricle short, claw 10 mm. Stamen-tube truncate at the mouth. Ovary subsessile, linear, hairy; style glabrous. Legumes sessile, slightly nodding, linear, straight or slightly curved, 22–40 mm long, c. 2.5 mm high and wide, acutely keeled ventrally, deeply and widely grooved dorsally, nearly triangular in cross- section, attenuate into a beak 2–5 mm, nearly fully bilocular; valves coriaceous, rather sparsely to loosely covered with appressed white and black hairs 0.2–0.6 mm. Seeds many, oblong, 3.5 × 1 mm, blackish.
