Stems 2–40 cm, simple or branched at the base, erect or ascending, angular-sulcate, in the youth rather densely covered with appressed to partly spreading hairs, often glabrescent with age. Stipules greenish-membranous, 3–6 mm, from triangular base long acuminate, shortly adnate to the petiole. Leaves 3–10 cm; petiole 0.5–1.5 cm, like the rachis loosely covered with appressed to ascending white hairs, sometimes with few black hairs mixed in. Leaflets in 6–9 pairs, narrowly elliptic to narrowly oblong, 4–18 × 1–5 mm, mostly distinctly and widely emarginate, on upper side glabrous, on underside mostly loosely, at the midvein more densely subappressed hairy. Wings 5–7 mm; blades narrowly oblong, slightly dilated upward, obliquely emarginate, 3–5 × 1–2 mm; auricle 0.5–1 mm, claw 1.5–2.5 mm.
