Stem erect, 4–6 mm in diameter, sulcate, glabrous or sparsely, in basal parts sometimes more densely covered with spreading hairs 0.3−3 mm. Stipules 10–20 mm, triangular to narrowly triangular, adnate to the petiole for 1–2 mm, mostly densely hairy. Leaves (7–)10–25 cm: petiole 2–3 cm, like the rachis sulcate adaxially, loosely to rather densely hairy like the stem, glabrescent with age. Leaflets in 12–17 pairs, ovate to elliptic, 8–25 × 5–20 mm, rounded to retuse, on upper side glabrous, on underside sparsely to rather densely or rarely up to densely covered with appressed to subappressed, often curled, tangled hairs 0.3−1 mm. Racemes nearly sessile or with a peduncle up to 2 cm, ovoid to oblong, 4–6(–8) × 3–5 cm, densely many-flowered. Bracts linear-acute, 10–20 mm, hairy. Bracteoles absent. Flowers subsessile.
