Stems of the preceding years up to 25 cm, covered with grey-yellowish bark; branches of the current year up to 25 cm, very densely covered with medifixed, appressed white hairs 0.4−0.6 mm. Stipules membranous, pale brownish, 1.5−2 mm, adnate to the petiole for 0.5−1 mm, vaginate-connate high up with triangular free tips, sparsely hairy to mostly subglabrous or glabrous. Leaves 1.5−2.5 cm; petiole 0.3−0.6 cm, together with the very short rachis hairy like the stem, mostly becoming hard and persistent but not or weakly spiny. Leaflets in 1−2 pairs, narrowly elliptic to obovate, (6−)8−20 × 3−8 mm, round-tipped, on upper side glabrous, on underside loosely to rather densely covered with appressed hairs 0.4−0.7 mm. Peduncles 3−6 cm, white hairy like the stem. Racemes 4−13 cm long, very loosely 8−18-flowered; axis white hairy like the peduncle. Bracts whitish-membranous, 1−1.5 mm, narrowly triangular, white hairy. Pedicels c. 1 mm, densely white hairy. Calyx 6−7 mm, campanulate-tubular, obliquely cut at the mouth, rather densely covered with ± medifixed, appressed white hairs 0.2−0.5 mm, with some black hairs mixed in; teeth unequal, narrowly triangular, 0.5−1 mm, densely white hairy on inner side. Standard 14−18 mm; blade c. 6 mm wide, obovate, slightly emarginate, ad the base gradually narrowed. Wings 12−16 mm; blades narrowly oblong, 6−7 × 1.8 mm; auricle c. 0.5 mm. Keel c. 11 mm; blades obliquely obovate, with widely, nearly rectangularly curved lower edge and ± straight upper edge, subacute-tipped, 5 × 2 mm; auricle c. 0.5 mm, claw 6 mm. Stamen-tube truncate at the mouth. Legumes with a stipe 3−4 mm, pendulous, narrowly ellipsoid, slightly to distinctly curved, acuminate at both ends, irregularly and scarcely constricted between the seeds, 12−16 mm long, 3 mm high, c. 2 mm wide, keeled ventrally and dorsally, compressed laterally, with a subulate beak c. 1 mm, bilocular; valves thin but tough, pale brown, loosely covered with asymmetrically bifurcate to basifixed, subappressed to slightly ascending white hairs 0.5−1.3 mm.
