Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. I, p. 652Plants 25−42 cm tall, acaulescent or shortly acaulescent, sparsely covered with hairs white or reddish with age. Rootstock with a pluricipital root-crown. Stems, if present, 2−5 cm, glabrous. Stipules whitish or purple violet, longitudinally nerved, 18−24 mm, adnate to the petiole for up to 2 mm or free, glabrous, the lower ones ovate-subacute, the upper ones narrowly triangular-acute. Leaves (22−)30−40 cm; petiole 5−12(−18) cm, like the rachis glabrous or with scattered, spreading hairs. Leaflets in 12−15(−17) pairs, narrowly ovate, (22−)35−55(−70) × (5−)8−15(−30) mm, rounded to acute, glabrous or at the margins and on underside at the pale midnerv with few nearly spreading hairs up to 2 mm. Racemes several to many, with a glabrous peduncle 0.5−3 cm, loosely several- to many- flowered, at the base of the leaves forming a dense head. Bracts white-membranous, linear-acute, (6−)10−14 mm, hairy at the margins and tips. Pedicels 6−10(−20) mm, sparsely hairy. Standard 18−22(−25) mm; blade 9−11 mm wide; blade ovate-rhombic, widest in lower third, slightly emarginate, subabruptly narrowed into the widely cuneate, short claw. Wings 17−21(−22) mm; blades oblong, slightly dilated upward, rounded to obliquely emarginate, 8−10 × 4−5 mm; auricle 1−1.5 mm, claw 9−12 mm. Keel 15−8 mm; blades obliquely elliptic, with gibbously curved lower edge and slightly curved upper edge, obtuse, auricle wide, short, claw 9−11 mm. Stamen-tube slightly obliquely cut at the mouth. Ovary with a stipe c. 1 mm, densely hairy; style hairy in lower part. Legumes sessile or with a stipe up to 1 mm, ovoid, rounded at the base, triangular-acuminate toward the tip, 13−16 mm long, 6−7 mm high and 4−5 mm wide, keeled ventrally, narrowly rounded dorsally, with a beak 4−6 mm, nearly unilocular; valves thin, straw-colored, with long, soft, ascending hairs.
